Hugh Blackwell I was just able to confirm today that Mayor Pat McCrory will be coming to Morganton on Saturday, September 20th, as our special guest for a fundraiser to assist my campaign for NC House.
So, I hope you'll save the date. We'll be getting out invitations and details, hopefully early in September. The plan at this point ...is that it will be an evening event with heavy hors d'oeuvres.
We're honored that Mayor McCrory is willing to help our campaign at the same time he's running such a strong race that may make him our new governor come January 2009.
Our fundraiser at the Hoffmans' on Lake James on 7-12 was a big success and, hopefully, this additional fundraiser will help us make another big step in raising the funds to get our message out effectively.
