I'll assume UO = Urban Outfitters. Nothing has changed since Bridge Street began a petition (see below) to bring them there back in February. UO normally prefers urban locations (hence the name), so I wouldn't be surprised if they're a bit hesitant to locate in suburban Bridge Street.

Is this the one with the apartments? I think affordable condos would be better, but any affordable housing downtown to tempt the 20-somethings is great.

That's one of the rumors, yes. But I think it's a dumb place to put a grocery store.

Could be tomorrow, or ten years from now. They could be looking, but it's not really official until a department store has signed a "letter of intent."

Teresa, there is a Macy's located in Franklin, TN. I'm new here, and miss Macy's. The drive isn't too bad, maybe an hour from Huntsville?

Here's what needs to happen...they are talking about the whole downtown stadium thing; get that going...then with the area the stadium used to be on, turn into a space-themed amusement park. I think that Huntsville could benefit from an amusement park. It would allow the things on Leeman Ferry to fare better than they have as well. The city has a ... Read Morejewel over there with the golf course, athletic fields and ice-plex...they should develop that area, put in an amusement park and a hotel that brings in that area. We could host hockey tournaments/soccer tournaments and the hotel/amusement park could be tied in to those activities.

The rumor is that an Italian restaurant is moving in to the soon-to-be-vacated Ketchup spot. Could be Bravo! Cucina- they were supposed to be one of the original tenants of Bridge Street- but that's just pure speculation on my part.
