Hi Anthony. I raised exactly the same concerns at a meeting of the Cabinet Member (City Services) a couple of weeks ago. I have asked the relevant Council officer to respond. Best wishes, Allan

Sam On December 5th 2009 I will be setting out in the footsteps of the comic relief celebrities to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and in the process will be trying to raise as much money as possible for Coventry Society for the Blind (CSB) based in Earlsdon.

CSB is a small local charity (reg.700656) who provide valuable advice, su...pport, resources and social activities for people who are blind, partially sighted and dual sensory impaired within the Coventry and surrounding areas.

I am extremely keen to raise as much money as possible for CSB so have set up a donation page at http://www.justgiving.com/samyoungclimb. Please consider sponsoring me and raising money for a very worthwhile charity!

Kate Hickling

Kate Hickling I recently had (of all things) the coping stones stolen off my wall, apparently this is the 4th crime of it's nature recently :-/ . If you have them therefore I'd check that they are well cemented down

This seems to be a real problem, apparently these stones are worth quite a bit on the black market. We had about 6 of ours stolen in the Spring, which made a total mess of our wall.

Sam Harrison

Sam Harrison A pack of beautiful greetings cards have been produced by Sandra Grundy, a member of the Earlsdon Traders Association, to help raise funds to buy and install festive lighting. The cards feature historic black and white photographs of Earlsdon and make perfect Christmas cards or can be used as greetings cards for other ...occasion throughout the year. Priced at just £5 for 12 cards, they are now on sale at many of the shops in Earlsdon Street - all profits from the sale of the cards will be used to provide attractive festive lighting for Earlsdon.

Justin Craig

Justin Craig Looking for someone in the Earlsdon area who is willing to rent a room to someone for one month only.
This person is moving to Canada in January, but has to find a new room now as the person she is renting with is moving house. Nice quiet person, ideally a woman only house.

I Love Earlsdon wonders what your thoughts are about the £650m Friargate (train station) redevelopment. Are you worried about additional parking/traffic problems in Earlsdon as a result of the development? Do you know enough about the plans?
