I've never felt embarrassed .......... Don't worry what others think...... Who cares!!get lost in what you are doing when you fly! I love flight.....every aspect of it from gliders, cessnas, the space shuttle right down to watching a hawk or a seagull. I still make paper airplanes. Friends and family think I'm a little... wacked at times....but again....who cares!!! HAVE FUN!! We aren't really here long enough to waste time worrying about what others think!
