INSIGHT Vision Rehabilitation This Thursday, October 15th, is National White Cane Awareness Day. Rhode Island law requires all drivers to yield to pedestrians who are walking with white cane with a red tip or a guide dog. Few people understand the meaning of the white cane, which puts the safety of people with sustained vision loss in jeopardy.

Three INSIGHT students finished up a five-session cooking class last week. The class included lots of useful skills like peeling, chopping, spreading, following a recipe, organizational skills, and safe stove use. The final exam was making a lasagna start to finish (and it was delicious!).
