Last year RIT President Bill Destler challenged the RIT community to build a vehicle that would use less energy than his electric bicycle while traversing a 3-mile loop on campus. Ten teams responded to his challenge with a variety of innovative and creative designs.

Undergraduate students, Sakhawat Hossain (left) and Anson Wong (right) toured the Khoo Kongsi Clan House in Penang, Malaysia during a conference trip where they presented a research paper on small engine vehicles. The paper was only one of two undergraduate papers chosen from U. S. colleges.
