when I'm shopping, specially accesories for winter, I make sure that there is not fur on my products. I feel very angry when I see that.I would never be able to wear a fur product.

I wrote to Bloomingdales about their fur merchandise. They wrote me back and basically said that they would keep selling fur as long as there are consumers who want it. I responded by acknowledging their business strategy but also suggesting that they could also create "value added" by doing what is right and responsible. I also emphasized that ... See Morethey could become not just another high end retailer but a high end retailer with "class" - meaning compassionate, responsible, and just. "Doing well by doing good" is in! I tried to "weigh in" as a business professor thinking that they might listen to a business person bit more than to an animal advocate. I also gave them a link to Fur Kills site. We'll see if they will respond.

We're having TWO vegan TG feasts, public and private. The lower-cal private feast will have tofurky, red cabbage, baked squash, cranberry sauce, stuffing and pumpkin pie. Oh, the hardship of a vegan diet!

I find that most people are unable to make a decision for themselves about what to eat. They eat what they grew up eating and feel very threatened when confronted with the idea of change. Reducing meat consumption, the last taboo.

If meat consumption becomes part of theofficial government message to help with global warming, people will cooperate. It will take an authority figure like the President to force people to change.

I can't believe there aren't any Fur Free events in New Jersey. There should be a lot more of these and other vegan events happening throughout the world.

Hi Danielle, write IDA for help in getting a demo going, assuming there's not a local AR group in your area. IDA can send your flyers on the fur industry, check about posters, and you can make your own signs. Just 2 or 3 of you is needed, and maybe next year you can add to your group. Go for it!
