I just got word that Jarret Stoll is expected to miss the rest of the season with a groin injury. Stoll had played in 126 consecutive games, a streak that started on Dec. 10, 2007.

There isn't likely to be an update on Jarret Stoll until tomorrow. He's officially listed with the ever-general ``lower-body injury,'' although it seemed clear that he was favoring his left knee as he left the ice...

According to the Kings' road report, there won't be any lineup changes for tomorrow's game at Dallas, and Jonathan Quick will start in goal. The team practiced without any line shakeups today. ``We need a bigger push in critical times in games,'' Terry Murray said...

Back in the day, I showed up to Culver rink for an afternoon skate and it was closed. As I walked back to my car, several hotel vans showed up. Out of the vehicles poured the red wings in full regalia. I was struck with how damn bright those red jerseys were in the sun and how friggin' hot those dudes must have been! It was during a heat wave with temps in the nineties. Ha! Talk about stank? That rink, like the forum is a dump, but I love 'em both.

At the risk of offending the die-hards among you, it's pretty clear that the Kings aren't going to the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season (not including the lockout year). So, what do these games mean...

It means that the Kings need to win games at home instead of flopping.

I can honestly say that the Kings did not disappointment me this season. If they don't make the playoffs next year, then I will be disappointed

This team needs to learn how to be consistant. That might take veterans..not sure but it needs to happen soon.. not another 7 years.

The Kings lost, 2-0, on two third-period goals by St. Louis' Patrik Berglund. -- The Kings made history Tuesday, but not a good kind. They set a team record by being shut out for the 10th time this season. The expansion Kings, in 1967-68, were shut out nine times...

Can you believe the NHL made Malkin a Star of the week! What does that show....ok kids, as long as you are a popular person the rules really don't apply!!!!

It's no different than in any other sport. Jordon got away with taking 4 steps for years. A star is a star, and the leagues will cater to their stars so long as they are the ones who bring in the money.

Is it right? Hell no, and Malking needs to get beaten to a bloody pulp because this is NOT the first time that little bitch has done this. But... Read More, guess what, it also won't be the last time, because the NHL will continue to turn the other cheek as he puts butts in the seats. Wayne Simmonds...Daryl Sydor, they do not.

I agree..... Westgarth looked like a tripod, just as Ivanans does, one fight in how many games???? you would think he would have at least fought his way onto the big club. Bring on a guy like Neil and get rid of both of them.

Well, I guess I should be relieved knowing that the line between idiocy and not-idiocy is only four games. Maybe some day I'll get there. In the meantime, I will continue to have concerns about a player who cost a top-6 forward and a 2nd-round pick not showing me why he was traded for. Because like I said, I'm not expecting immediate production, but I do expect to see a player who looks like he knows where he is. I haven't seen it yet. Maybe I will tonight. I hope so.
