Topic: “Environmentalizing Your Book of Business”
About the Prog...ram:
This program will provide specific mechanisms and overall techniques for agency professionals to help to open the dialog between producer and client regarding the environmental exposures that both specific facilities and contractors face. The program will briefly discuss the various insurance tools available in today’s marketplace and how they respond. The program will discuss the sources of environmental exposure and liabilities from a statutory and civil law standpoint. The program will focus on preparing the agency professional to open a “needs based” discussion with the client in which the client actually leads the discussion of environmental exposure. The overall goal of the program is to leave agency professionals with tools that will allow them better educate themselves both before meetings with their clients and during the meetings by allowing the individual clients to identify for themselves the ways in which environmental exposures could affect their ongoing operations.

About the Speaker:
Jim Ziogas has been underwriting all types of environmental insurance
coverages since 1995. He has worked as an underwriter and manager in all sectors of the pollution liability marketplace from an MGA to a wholesale agency to a large international insurance company. Jim is currently Assistant Vice President and Site Pollution Product Line Leader for Rockhill Underwriting Management / National Environmental Coverage Corp with an office in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Jim holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Science from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio and expects to complete his J.D. from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in May of 2009.
