Company Overview:
On March 30, Intel launched its most important server product in almost 15 years - the Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor 5500 series.

Across a range of workloads, Intel Xeon 5500 processor-based systems will deliver 70-125% (1.7x – 2.25x) higher performance than systems based on the Intel Xeon 5400 series. And, replacing older Xeon servers with the new Xeon 5500 series can yield ROI in as little as 8 months - isn't that worth a data center redesign?

Mission:
Intel Announces its Data Center Efficiency Challenge!

If you work in IT and have fresh perspectives to make your organization more efficient, you’ve come to the right spot!

Submit a short video or written “proposal” describing plans to use Intel server technology (Intel Xeon 5500 series or other current Intel-based server platforms) to save both energy and money in your data center.

One winner in each of two categories – enterprise and small business – will receive a new Intel Xeon processor 5500 series server, an energy efficient netbook or mobile PC, will be flown to San Francisco for the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) and will meet with senior data center experts for consultation on their proposal.

TO ENTER:
1. Create a 5-minute or less video proposing plans to drive more energy efficiency to your data center utilizing Intel server technology. You may also opt to present a written proposal.
- Quantify scope of project, including projected ROI
- Hint: creativity is encouraged!
- Organizations may enter in one of two categories: Enterprise or Small Business

2. Submit your video on this page or via YouTube or the YouSendIt dropbox. Written submissions may be sent directly to inteldatacenterchallenge@bm.com.

3. Register your entry by sending an e-mail to inteldatacenterchallenge@bm.com.

4. Check back here often to explore, comment and discuss the other proposals.

Good luck!
