International Association of Canine Professionals On the first day of Conference IACP brings to
you Four Joel Silverman
Trust

Personality

Unpredictable

Chaining

These four words form the basis of Joel’s
presentation. Build trust between you and the dog. Teach based on the dog’s
individual personality. When teaching complex behaviors, Joel will explain why
training in rever...se and being unpredictable is so effective. Joel exudes
passion for his work, even after more than 30 years of training animals for
theme parks to movies and commercials.

Joel as host of the popular television series
Good Dog U on Animal Planet, for the last 10 years, has had the opportunity to
showcase his unique ability to relate to and problem-solve behavior issues with
a wide variety of dog breeds and owners. He is currently on the backside of his 100 city book tour
with his new dog training book, “What Color is Your Dog?” This book focuses on
two of Joel’s training philosophies. It highlights building a great
relationship with your dog prior to training, and teaches people that all dogs
are different. What works well for one dog may not work well for another.
Get your brain ready for the dynamic information Joel will present! http://canineprofessionals.com/Professionals.

you

Three Peter Willmott (1 Why and 2 How’s)

“I am not the dog you think I am”Peter will
explore the ways people interpret dog behaviours and the excuses they make as
to why they “can’t” make a difference.

How do we unravel the human condition that
prevents Joe the Plumber from ...just letting his dog be a dog and offering that
dog the right level of training and incentives so he is the dog Joe the Plumber
thought he was buying? How do we educate those that “know everything
about dogs…”to actually see the dog they have, not the dog they wish they
had? Why even the best trainers and behaviorists still ask colleagues
for advice and guidance… even after more than half a century of
practice. So, you will just have to attend Conference to discover the
why and how’s.

International Association of Canine Professionals

International Association of Canine Professionals Dear Fellow IACP Fans,

Once again it is time to show our support for our military
working dog teams. The annual War
Dog Donation Project is under way.
This year we are collecting light items to send. The Chilly Dog vests will be purchased
with monetary donations as they continue to be a priority. If you have a shirt w...ith your business
or club logo, consider donating one or two for a special gift.

Now is time to make our military brothers and sisters feel
special once again as the holiday season is fast approaching. Please allow your clients, family, and
friends to help spread joy and cheer this holiday by contributing to the War
Dog Donation Project. Place a box
with a wish list in your vet’s office, hairdresser’s salon, or favorite coffee
shop if these people wish to help collect donations. Take a stack of cards to your doctor’s office, mechanic’s,
and vet’s for waiting patients to fill out and donate. Get creative about helping the K-9
teams and spread the word about IACP.

The Chilly Dog cooling vest is still a top requested item
for the dogs, so monetary donations will be used to purchase these. These vests have cooling packs
strategically placed to regulate the temperature of the dog while it is working
in elevated temperatures. This safely
prolongs the dog’s time in the field working to protect the lives of
soldiers. Glacier Tek, the
manufacturer of the vest, generously donates an extra set of cooling packs for
each vest we purchase as a donation for War Dogs.

New this year is a special donation card to commemorate
someone special. Each card will
represent a minimum $25.00 donation towards the purchase of a canine cooling
vest to protect the dogs from overheating. This is one quarter of the price of a vest. Please consider a memorial card to
commemorate a special person or pet throughout the year.

Still available is the War Dog pin for a $10.00 minimum
donation. These pins are sure to
catch the eye and spark conversation on whatever they adorn. Be a part of helping dogs and spreading
information about working dogs in your community.

Send all donation items to Karen Wargo, 240 CR 4955,
Leonard, Tx 75452.

Send all monetary donations to IACP,
c/o War Dogs, P.O.Box 560156, Montverde, Fl. 34756-0156

Thank you,

Karen Wargo

IACP #

Please do not send dog treats and food, due to strict diets,
or easily destroyed dog toys.

All items must be received by December 12, 2009, in order to
package and ship them for holiday distribution. Monetary donations are accepted throughout the year.

Julia, this year, the IACP has become part of Sendoutcards. We can design our own, put names and address lists in. set up marketing and promotion campaigns where we select the recipients of cards and basically use it for festivities or PR. Great to inform people of events etc. Post cards or regular cards. Take some great photos of you and your dogs... See More and design your own. Just a thought. Go have a look at
https://www.sendoutcards.com/iacp
It is not as expensive as buying cards, mailing them plus all the hassle associated with it. Just sent over 70 cards out to special people who help and support IACP financially and through their work and it took me under an hour to design the card and send it. And no glue on my tongue!!!!

Cathy Paul

Cathy Paul I have a golden retreiver that is 3 years old. He is at my sisters house in the country. I couldn't keep him because he is high maintenance duck hunting dog. I have grandkids and my mom and dad living with me. Cash doesn't do well with my grandkids or their friends. And he doesn't get along with my older dogs. He needs... a home with no kids or other dogs in his life. One on One dog. I'm asking 250.00 for him. He needs more then I can give him right now. Any advise?
