International Mountain Bicycling Association On November 1, several airlines changed their 2 bag fee. A bike will now likely get a second bag fee of $25-$50. Plus most full suspension bikes will be exceed 50lbs limit if packed in a hard case or with tools/shoes and thus cover an additional $50-$125 fee. Shipping really starts to make sense now -- easier and cheaper.

International Mountain Bicycling Association The draft Los Angeles Bike Plan was recently released and mountain bikers should be concerned with the direction it has taken. We need comments not only from L.A.-based riders, but from anyone who has positive stories about relationships with equestrians and other trail users on California trails.

Seven years ago, citizens from across the nation flooded the U.S. Forest Service with public comments in support of protecting at-risk backcountry roadless areas -- the last pristine but unprotected lands in the Forest System.

With statements like "Mountain
bikers...present a danger even after they've gone home" (recorded in Appendix H of the
draft bike plan) - Good luck LA. Sounds like you have a tough and unfair fight ahead.
