International Thriller Writers Organization I know Halloween is just over and Thanksgiving is coming up, but isn't this actually the season for Christmas books to come out? Anyone know of any suspense/thriller books with a Christmas theme? Not just winter, but with Christmas included in the story somehow.

Sorry to toot our own horn, but it's the only one I can think of: BEYOND EDEN opens with a young boy vanishing from a Christmas caroling/sledding party in Warwick, NY. ;)

When giving gift cards for books don't forget about your local independent bookstores -- new and used stores almost always have gift cards/certificates too. I always try to support local businesses whenever I can and most of them discount their new books same as the block stores or Wally World and Target.

I wonder if Indie Bound or some other Indie organization offers gift certificates? I'm all for supporting smaller, local bookstores. But I do love my BN Card!!! :-)

Its an good book but quite graphic and a bit gory...but the descriptions in the book were so captivating that I included it on a leg of my trip and am so thankful...the city is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I heartily recommend watching this on DVD. The special features include a HILARIOUS mini-documentary of Nathan Fillion following Stephen Cannell around for a day on a "write-along." (Nathan, adoring Cannell's Ferrarri: "Stephen...teach me how to write...") I then saw this terrific interview with Cannell on 'Unscripted.' Definitely google that or go to his website.
