Company Overview:
Founded in 1931, IVS is a British peace organisation working for the sustainable development of local and global communities throughout the world.

We are the leading charity involving volunteers in international voluntary projects.

IVS is the British branch of Service Civil International (SCI), a worldwide network supporting the mutual exchange of volunteers to work on projects of direct benefit to local communities.

Mission:
IVS aims to promote peace, justice and understanding between people and nations.

This is achieved by providing opportunities for individuals to carry out voluntary work as a part of an international group both in the UK and abroad, for the benefit of local communities.

Products:
1. Short Term Volunteer Projects

Usually two weeks long. Food, accommodation and basic health insurance included, organise your own travel. Cost £155 to £190 (including one years membership of IVS)

2. Long Term Volunteer (LTV) and European Voluntary Service (EVS) Placements

From three months to a year. Food, accommodation, living expenses and health insurance included.

LTV - Worldwide projects, volunteers aged between 18-70, 21+ for some projects. Cost £155 to £190 (including one years membership of IVS)

EVS - Projects in Europe, volunteers must be under 30 years old. Funded by the European Union, no fee, travel costs provided.

3. Training Courses and International Seminars

Open only to members of IVS. Usually about Peace Education or the promotion of volunteering. IVS does not charge for its volunteers to attend. Usually EU funded with travel reimbursements. Small participation fee by hosting organisation. Food and accommodation is included.
