Friends of the Iowa City Farmers Market The first of two holiday Farmers Markets will be this weekend, Saturday, November 14, 8 am-1 pm, in the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center. Many of our regular vendors will be there, selling homemade crafts and foods. A great place to start your holiday shopping!
Friends of the Iowa City Farmers Market Wednesday, Sept. 3: See you at the Taste of the Market tomorrow! This special event features the hot jazz music of Mutiny in the Parlor and samples of the market vendors’ produce & baked goods...Sweet!!
Friends of the Iowa City Farmers Market Wednesday, 8/26: Come out to the Market to catch Nick Arp playing acoustic originals and eclectic covers. This promises to be a great show...and it's free as always! Saturday, 8/29: The Clover Ridge Ensemble will fill the Market with fresh blends of string music. Also, don't forget to keep coming and supporting local farmers and vendors as we enter the fall...the market continues through October 31st!!

Our first annual Springtime Rumpus last Friday night was a success, with over 200 people stopping in through the night. The kids really took to the activity stations, which included a "Make a Veggie Car," compost demo, "All about honeybees," plant a seed/sprout, and art with dried beans and peas...
