A new pizzeria is about to open in Ipoh, situated near to Tesco and Jusco in Ipoh Garden East.
Manned by an American with his lovely Chinese wife from Ipoh.

The name's Michelangelo's Pizzeria, specializing in authentic firebrick oven baked pizzas, using
only firewoods as fuel. And it's not Halal, so you can find pork in most of their pizzas and pasta.

Craving for some REAL Pizza? Michelangelo's Pizzeria

[addedon]December 26, 2009, 3:06 pm[/addedon]For those in Ipoh for the weekend, if you're feeling hungry at night and craving for some good old Ipoh Hawker Food, consider hopping over to Tong Sui Kai (aka Dessert Street) near to Sam Tet High School, near to Ipoh Parade for the inaugural Ipoh Hawkers' Fest organized by Tourism Malaysia and MCA Ipoh Timur.

For 3 days only, from 25-27 Dec 2009. Evening until late night.

Malaya’s Secret Police!
28 Dec 2009, 4:25 pm

This book by Leon Comber is an analyses of the pivotal role of the Malayan Police’s Special Branch, during the Malayan Emergency. Dr Comber, an Honarary Research Fellow at Monash Asia Institute (Monash University, Melbourne), shows how the Special Branch was organised and how it worked in terms of security during the Emergency. It is said to be an interesting read, especially in learning from the “lessons” of “counterinsurgency operations”.

Our copy was purchased at RM 72, at the MPH bookstore.
ISBN number: 978-981-230-815-3
