Christine Trayner (Veronica Pepper), Executive Director, Dancer-
Christine began dancing with Ballet New England at a young age. She danced in a handful of performances put on by BNE including
Swan Lake, the Nutcracker and several other small productions. She has tried her hand at several different dance styles, finding a permanent home with Tricycle Dance Company. Christine holds a degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of New
Hampshire. She puts her knowledge of the human response to exercise to good use teaching several classes including yoga, aerial fabric and a weight training intensive at Dover Yoga. Christine lives in Newmarket, NH with her partner Gary and their two dogs
Francesca and Oscar. Christine enjoys international travel and most outdoor activities. She and Gary spend their summers kayaking and hiking through NH and ME and their winters skiing.
Cassie McCracken, (Cassidy Sundance), Rehearsal Director, Dancer-
Cassie’s dance career began at the age of 3, as a ballet dancer wearing a light blue tutu playing leap-frog across the stage with other dancers of the same caliber, shoes flying left and right and an unrehearsed tumble, artistically improvised or accidentally placed when needed. Since then she’s increased her repertoire to include Jazz, Tap, Modern, Latin, and Burlesque (usually as a man). In High
School, Cassie had the opportunity to study modern dance under a Martha Graham Company member at Dartmouth College. She then went to New York to study with the Graham and Cunningham Schools before enrolling in the dance program at Connecticut
College. After college, she continued her study of how and why the body moves like it does by receiving her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic. While pursuing her Doctorate she still found the time to perform professionally with Dance St. Louis in 2005. This is Cassie’s first show in the New Hampshire area after moving here in April 2007 to open a Chiropractic office with her patient and hard-working husband, Brian. She loves to incorporate her passion for dance and movement into her role as a health care provider, always keeping in line with her philosophy that Life is Motion!
Lorelei Marquis (Inga Morning), Costume Designer & Director, Dancer-
Lorelei Marquis is very excited to be making her debut with Tricycle Dance Company! A multi-talented dancer/singer/actress/choreographer/seamstress BA Dance graduate of DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, she has been in numerous classical ballet productions, including "Viva Vivaldi!"- a staple of the Joffrey Ballet that was restaged by Trinette Singleton (a former principle at Joffrey), "Sleeping Beauty"- performed by Repertory Dance Theatre in Emmaus, PA, and "The Nutcracker"- in which she has held numerous roles over the years. Aside from her 18 years of classical ballet experience, Lorelei fell in love with modern dance, tap, jazz and West African dance, which helped her realize her passion for ethnic cultural dance forms. When not silking across the stage in fishnets, Lorelei runs the Outreach Program for Ballet New England, holding classes in York and Kittery, ME.
Lorelei also teaches for Musical Arts in Exeter and is a full-time substitute teacher with the Rollinsford/Somersworth school district. In her spare time, Lorelei joined forces with Aaron Katz, to combine West African movement and drum rhythms with Caribbean, Latin and modern dance to form Hybrid Dance, which they have begun to teach throughout the Seacoast area.
Stephanie Bramlett (La Duchess Fatale), Marketing Co-Director, Dancer-
Stephanie began taking ballet and tap at just two and a half-years-old in Tulsa, OK. She loves hearing her mom tell the story about how she nearly fell off the stage during her first dance recital. A few years later, she had better coordination and added modern jazz to her routine. Stephanie fell in love with old school hip-hop dance in the early 1990's and has been shoulder-shakin' and booty-poppin' ever since Stephanie moved to New England for college in 2001 where she captained and choreographed for both her college's competitive dance and cheerleading teams. She is now a doctoral candidate in the Sociology department at the University of New Hampshire where she studies college recruitment and retention techniques for students of color and first-generation students. She also does team choreography and teaches hip-hop workshops around the Seacoast area. Stephanie is also an avid yogi and has been a member of Tricycle Dance Company since 2008. She lives in Dover with her husband and is a proud mom to a handsome
Jack Russell named Bodie.
