About the School of Social Sciences

As the largest academic unit on campus, the School of Social Sciences faculty and staff are committed to providing the highest quality research and educational experience. The School’s distinguished faculty include:

 of Sciences
-6 UCI Distinguished Professors
-4 Chancellor’s Professors

Of the School’s seven major departments, several rank in the top 30 in their respective fields nationally.

The School’s research and programs are supported by national and private foundations, state and local governments, and private donors.

Alumni include educators, psychologists, company CEOs and chief operating officers, lawyers, doctors, political consultants, politicians and community relations advisors.
