OTZMA is a service-based leadership development program offering young adults ages 20-26 the unique opportunity to contribute and acquire an in-depth understanding of Israel. The 10-month OTZMA program combines social action, civil rights and community building. Spend three months in an absorption center learning Hebrew, three months doing community service using your skills in a development town and three months on a kibbutz or participating in an internship! For more information check out our website at www.otzma.org and contact us at otzma@ujc.org.
Israel Teacher Corps is a 10-month service program that allows North American college graduates ages (20-30) the ability to teach English in under-served Israeli public schools. The first month of the program is dedicated to a training period which is set up in cooperation with the Israeli Ministry of Education. Training includes a morning Hebrew language course and afternoon session that will focus on ESL pedagogy, classroom management, and Israeli society. Volunteers have the capacity to give a tremendous gift to Israeli students who have limited resources and big dreams.
