Hi Anna,
You must be Jewish to participate in most, but not all of these programs. Programs that do not require you to be Jewish are: Dance Journey and the freshman university programs. Also, Kibbutz Volunteering (without the Hebrew ulpan component) does not require one to be Jewish. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact the Director of Gap Year Program Recruitment, Jaclyn Mishal at 212-339-6982 or jaclynm@masaisrael.org.

Israel Gap-Year Programs
Hi Mariel,
Some of the programs are five months long and vary when they begin. But most of the 9-10 month-long programs require you to be in Israel around the beginning of September. If you let me know which ones specifically interest you, I can give you a more exact answer. Or you can contact MASA Israel Journey's director of gap year programs, Jaclyn, at jaclynm@masaisrael.org or (212) 339-6982.

Hi Mariel,
I don't believe this will be an issue, but it's best that you contact the program director directly. Let me know if you have any other questions.
