Israel Study Abroad Programs Hi Rafi,
Perhaps the best way to begin looking for a study abroad program in Israel is based on which area of Israel you want to live or your field of study. Then, I can better help you find a program that's right for you. Also, MASA offers automatic grants ranging from $3,000 - $4,500 for college graduates, as well as needs-based additional financial assistance.
In terms of your second question - you might want to contact your university's Hillel for some suggestions. MASA's programs are all 5 months to a year in length.

Israel Study Abroad Programs Hi Mariel,
There are a lot of great academic programs in Israel, such as Hebrew University's freshman/one-year program: http://overseas.huji.ac.il/academics.asp?cat=35&in=18
or Tel Aviv University's freshman year program: https://www.telavivuniv.org/SemesterProgram.aspx
Also, you might want to consider the IDC in Herzliya's 3-year B.A. option: http://www.rris.idc.ac.il
There are also academic art or music programs, as well as many programs that combine academics with travel, community service and Hebrew classes.
It's probably best for you to contact MASA Israel Journey's director of gap year programs, Jaclyn at jaclynm@masaisrael.org or (212) 339-6982. She can help you find the program that's right for you.
Good luck!
