UP Front [art] Issaquah artist Anne Anderson has silk paintings featured at UP Front. This unique art form is similar to the watercolor process; however, the medium is quite different: silk, wax, and dyes. She enjoys the medium for its deep and rich color reflecting properties. Often inspired by primitive images, she also paints luminous flowers from her garden. Here is a magnolia.
UP Front [art] This show is very cool. Opening reception, Nov. 6, 6-8pm, for "Make Your Mark! An Experiment in Figure Drawing on Walls." What happens when you bring together 30 artists, a live model, and permission to draw on the walls? This show is an experiment in an accumulative drawing process, resulting in artEAST's first community art installation. On view through Nov. 29 in the artEAST Gallery at UP Front.

There's still room for you in Jean Mills's once-a-month 10-month class that uses the principles and elements of design as a backdrop for exploration of the student's own creative abilities in fiber art. The classes provide ...the students a safe community environment in which to take risks, and share constructive criti...que and knowledge. TONIGHT! 7-8:30pm at the Issaquah Library, UP Front artist Susan Olds will be giving the free lecture, "The World of Andrew Wyeth." Learn about Andrew Wyeth's life and artistic development. Over 100 images of his landscapes, portraits and... interiors will be shown, including some of the famous "Helga" paintings. You w...ill also see many of his little-known dreamlike works.
