Itasca County Family YMCA This Friday is the YMCA's annual Harvest Fest. For children ages 0-12, the Harvest Fest is a fun Costume party (costumes optional) with fun games, activities and prizes. Cost is $5 per person or $20 max per family - parents are asked to accompany their children to this event. Please contact the WeeFolks Office with any questions or if you would like to volunteer to work at some of the games, 327-2418.
Itasca County Family YMCA We had a litle door decoration today in the fitness center - our Health & Fitness Director, Grant, made the mistake of wearing his Packers jersey yesterday. He managed to rip down the decorations right away, but we do have a picture in case you missed it!!
Itasca County Family YMCA Fall is really here and things are picking up at the Y. Swim Team began yesterday, and swim lessons, karate and judo are picking up a lot of new participants. And we have a new friend hanging out in the lobby thanks to our Educare kids!
Itasca County Family YMCA is looking for some volunteer tutors for our free tutoring program. It is offered Monday through Thursday, 3:30-6:30pm (on school days) beginning in October. Volunteers can pick and choose what days you can come - or if you specialize in a certain subject you can volunteer on an "as needed" basis. Last year we served 66 kids in our tutoring center, averaging 5-10 kids per day.
Itasca County Family YMCA We just put coupons in the Herald Review for fitness classes and new joiners. Tell your friends. This is a great time to get started on a new fitness routine.
Itasca County Family YMCA Due to a change of plans for the Fitness Studio there WILL be classes on Friday, Sept. 11th. Classes offered will be 9:00am Pi Yo (yoga) with Jenna, 12:15pm Body By Mercedes and 4:15pm Step with Jackie.

Come and pick up your copy at the desk. Our website will HOPEFULLY have a huge facelift this week - if I can figure out how to upload it.
Itasca County Family YMCA Today is Friday, where are you? Obviously not here. It's just Mary and Cheryl and Sue. Ho hum... Some of the WeeFolks staff are here too, cleaning and painting their childcare rooms. Well - it's almost back to school time, then everyone will be back!! We can't wait to see you!
Itasca County Family YMCA Sunday night - cleaning is done! We still have carpets to shampoo later this week and some painting to do in the pool area. Curtis will use his artistic skills to decorate the pool area walls with some neat sea creatures. OH - BTW, the Youth Center and WeeFolks will be closed this week. The WeeFolks staff will be undergoing a full week of childcare training - which will be held in the Youth Center.
