Guns And White Roses If anyone gets Horse & Rider magazine, you'll read a little story pg 21 in January's "We'd Love To Own" about ApHC champion, Shoulda Astor Faster. Rose is not the 1st "handicapped" inspiration. I'll blog on it when I can. Reading it hit me like a rock and I'd love to meet the owners of this mare.
Guns And White Roses Halie was able to see Rose before Christmas. I had to stay behind. Her update was Rose is doing phenomenal. Her fast/slow transistions (which TBG just started working on) were unbelievable, she's added speed to her spins and her stops are nicely coming along. Hopefully I can visit the 1st week of January and see for myself.
Guns And White Roses The pad I got for her isn't going to work. It's nicely made and will probably do well for another horse but The Big Guy says its not going to work for Rose. Leaves open her pressure points and not freely moveable/flexable enough. He's working on something just for her.

Amber Doesn't her lordosis make her back weaker? Why are you starting her when she's not even 3 (or 4 preferably) with her back problems?

Guns And White Roses Just ordered a swayback Western pad from Cashel. Hoping it gets here next week so I can take it down to the Big Guy. Maybe it'll give him something more to work with along w/ more ideas to perfect a pad systerm for Rose. Saw the pad mentioned in a letter to Horse & Rider magazine.
