From first to last, each one of Barrett’s short stories in this collection delivers startling scenes and revelations. I have not read the first edition so cannot comment, nor compare the two, but From Caves of Rotten Teeth (2nd Ed.) signalled to me the rise of another great African writer.

Thank you Elinore, I always hope someone does because for me “Writing is the most fun you can have by yourself.” as Pratchett said, but I do really enjoy sharing the results. Real glad you are into StoryTime, it is my honour to be able to publish such amazing works from a whole new generation of African writers. Get a Kindle (I'm getting one asap). Eng Lit is a worthy hankering, one that should not go unattended for too long. A moo to you too :).
