J Swiderski, Wisdom Path Art I hope all of you who celebrated Thanksgiving, had a great day with people you care about, and had fun. I did, and am enjoying some down time to explore new art & ideas, without pushing so hard, and also re-arranging where my studio is at.The whole main area of my house will now be the studio! I'm hoping this will do until I can get the new studio built.
J Swiderski, Wisdom Path Art You have to be incredibly honest with yourself to make good art. I learn about myself with each piece. If you are not exposing yourself thru your work, you are not creating 100%. Art is a way of understanding life, and my place in it. There is a huge difference between painting a decorative piece, and making real art. truth & bearing your soul is the difference.
J Swiderski, Wisdom Path Art I am contemplating making a wall/ mural sized painting of the drawing 'Unity'. It's been very compelling to me lately, and is part of a new body of work I am exploring & developing.It feels right, and when I am making it, I feel exposed, truthful, and whole.
J Swiderski, Wisdom Path Art I've been making drawings on brown kraft paper lately, that I get in a big roll. with pencils, and oil pastels. It allows me to explore ideas, and be more spontaneous, without committing to the full painting until I am ready. I am enjoying it.
