"JON GILLESPIE has played the piano since age 5, and professionally since 1986 as a keyboardist/singer/songwriter with bands ELECTRIC SKY (1986-1992), BLUE MIRACLE (1992-present), and JARFLYS (feat. Jimi Haha of Jimmie's Chicken Shack, 2002-present). Jon also on occasion sits in with Baltimore-based ALL MIGHTY SENATORS. As a member of these touring bands, he has been the supporting act for well known artists such as Santana, Blues Traveler, Crosby Stills and Nash, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, Ben Folds, Tom Petty, Sean Lennon, Rusted Root, The Band, Grand Funk Railroad,The Spin Doctors, Blackfoot, House of Pain, Counting Crows, and many more. Jon also has had the distinct honor of twice singing the national anthem before Baltimore Orioles games at Camden Yards, and the privilege of performing as a session player (on the Hammond organ) on the late Eva Cassidy's album "Songbird", which soared to #1 in the U.S. and the U.K., #2 in Sweden and Switzerland, and has sold over 6 million copies worldwide. Jon is currently recording his first solo CD, "The Dr. Gillespie Killings" (co-produced with Rob Cosentino, Nonsuch Productions), which will be released in the fall/winter of 2009."
