Jacquie Rogers I played hooky and watched three movies with Judy and Sherrie. Had a great time and didn't even get ulcers about all the things I have to do.
Mary at 9:21pm June 4
sometimes you've just got to do that.

So, you understand why you should take the time away from your writing to take part in Social Networking on Facebook.com. You’ve got the hang of Twitter.com (or have you?). But, what can a bunch of high powered “suits” do for you?

Conference season is upon us. Those published romance authors among us have already been to PASIC in New York and every week it seems I get a twitter from one author or another who has booked their flight, packed, just arrived or just returned from a writing conference of one sort or another.

I'm going to RWA National - my third National. I have an agent appointment and an editor appointment.
Jacquie Rogers at 11:44pm June 1
I love going to National, but unfortunately I can't go this year. I've been to 10 RWA Nationals so far--looking forward to next year. Best of luck with your appointments!

I write novels; therefore, I want editors to buy my manuscripts. And then I want my books mass produced. And I want the public to buy them by the boatload.

That's interesting, my Aunt/Godmother was a schoolteacher for a one-room schoolhouse just northeast of Odell, NE until it closed sometime I believe in the 50s. We love hearing her stories around that time. Great article!

PS, I'm a native Nebraskan, transplanted to Bellevue WA as well.
Jacquie Rogers at 6:08pm May 24
Wendy, somewhere I have a picture of my grandfather and grandmother as students at the one-room school in Gibbon, NE (a couple hundred miles from Odell). I've been told that the building was well constructed and school was held there for years. My g-father was convinced that one-room schools provided the best education you could get, because each student was also a teacher.
