I'm going to RWA National - my third National. I have an agent appointment and an editor appointment.

I love going to National, but unfortunately I can't go this year. I've been to 10 RWA Nationals so far--looking forward to next year. Best of luck with your appointments!

That's interesting, my Aunt/Godmother was a schoolteacher for a one-room schoolhouse just northeast of Odell, NE until it closed sometime I believe in the 50s. We love hearing her stories around that time. Great article!

PS, I'm a native Nebraskan, transplanted to Bellevue WA as well.

Wendy, somewhere I have a picture of my grandfather and grandmother as students at the one-room school in Gibbon, NE (a couple hundred miles from Odell). I've been told that the building was well constructed and school was held there for years. My g-father was convinced that one-room schools provided the best education you could get, because each student was also a teacher.

I, too, have been doing yard work. After the passage of three days I still note sundered body parts that I was previously unaware of. :-)
