Holly Renee

Holly Renee I was an ACORN employee up until the entire scandal came out. At first, I seriously wanted to inflict physical harm on him because I got laid off after they stopped intake in to their programs (I worked in housing, basically contacting homeowners about helping them with their mortgages). I was worried about paying rent..., being able to start school when I needed to... But then when I went to file for unemployment and was denied because my wages were paid through two different organization names, I decided that it was probably the best thing that could have been done (plus, I got a job that actually pays me enough to go to school and keep a roof over my head - ACORN fights for living wages, but its employees get diddly squat). They need to bring it down and build it back up with the real people who actually give a damn about the community and not the money lining their wallets. I've waited months to say anything about the whole situation, and I think that's all I am going to say. :)

It's about time GAO is going to investigate federal funding going to Acorn. Maybe then Judge Gershon will reverse her reversal.

James O'Keefe Refusing to fund an organization with federal dollars is not the same as Congress passing a bill sentencing an individual to a prison term. FYI, You don't have some right to federal funding that's being taken away

A federal judge blocked U.S. officials from enforcing a funding ban on Acorn, the beleaguered community organizer.

James, you and Hanna have already prove the power of the citizens to stand up and do what the 3 branches of gov. cannot or will not.
We just need to keep exposing these people for who they are and keep the pressure on.

This is an important point. The question is why were these public tactics so successful. When I heard some of them amongst my radicals of the late Sixties and early Seventies I thought, "If they can be successful doing this that is proof of one of their claims...something is wrong with America".
