In April, 100 young people from 28 countries gathered at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for Jane Goodall's Global Youth Summit. The mission of Jane Goodall's Global Youth Summit is to create a cadre of engaged, active youth leaders dedicated to making positive changes happen in their communities and in the world.
Under the vision of the woman who redefined man, Dr. Jane Goodall, these youth came together and created community action plans addressing poverty, wildlife conservation, water sanitation and scarcity and environmental degradation.
Perhaps one of the most exciting parts of the Global Youth Summit, other then getting 100 young people from around the world together, was The Pearson Foundation's Digital Arts Workshops.
Over the course of the summit, the participants broke up into teams of three to five to create PSAs, or public service announcements. These PSAs ran from 30 seconds to one minute and were about one of three issues: wildlife conservation, water or poverty.

Over the course of July, we will upload one PSA each day to the Roots & Shoots YouTube Channel. We will also post the video to the Roots & Shoots Fellow blog along with a little bit about the makers of the PSA, stories associated with it and our comments on the message and style of the PSA.
So, grab yourself a bag of popcorn, settle in and get your RSS Feed ready!
You will also be able to view the PSAs in our YouTube Box below!
