A bit far from London, but I remember eating there to celebrate my older son's high school graduation many years ago. I felt as if there were ghosts around us... and very special ones.

Hahaha that is so funny!!! I also don't understand the whole ' no knicker' thing!! I think I would spend the entire time feeling a) NAKED!! b) like I had forgotten to do something - ie get dress correctly!!
I also would like to know what the heck that woman is climbing out of - a semi truck!! No car would cause a person to exit it in such an awkward fashion!!

I never could understand the "no panties" practice, especially regarding the very professional and talented Meredith Viera. Although I no longer hear her talk of it on "The Today Show" nor on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", years ago when she was a part of "The View" she was very verbal about practising the "au naturel" look underneath her ... See Moreslacks all the time. Other than for plastic mannequins, underpants serve as a very real buffer between even minor bodily secretions (e.g. perspiration) and one's clothing. There I finally said what I've been thinking all these years, Meredith. Might I add however that you are still one of my favorite tv personalities and someone whose intelligence and personal life I greatly respect.

That is a scream. I have the exact same SubZero setup except mine has wood paneling and is from 1984 therefore no magnets stick and all children's art is up with scotch tape.

You go, Mom! We told our 5 kids that our job was to get them a good enough education to afford therapy and provide plenty of reasons to go. (Stole that line from someone too long ago to remember.) It is bad when the court has to protect a 13-year-old from her own parents.

Oh Jane, I feel for you. Have raised three kids successfully but not without the pain you describe. Hold firm! In their 20s, they emerge from the black hole they have entered and say, "Oh, mom, you were right about (fill in the blank)!" My youngest small is 22 and on his own in NYC.

I bet they were that good, because u know how to bring out great taste in the kitchen.

I love that you shop at Stew Leonard's! I haven't lived in Connecticut for over 11 years so I don't hear people mention that name often! I'm about to start The Beach House when I go down to the beach this weekend, I can't wait I'm sure it will be great!

Jane, my lithuanian mother in law makes some fabulous cucumber salad. It's super simple too. Thinly slice up a couple cukes, after peeling. Then mix in sour cream until consistency is slightly thick. Add LOTS of minced garlic, salt and pepper. Is FAB!

Pickles! Or slice them thinly with thinly sliced onion, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and oil for a quick pickley salad for dinner or lunch...

Eating French chocolates and drinking Italian wine with a naked hunk...nice dream :-)
