Mobile Mommy How much time do you spend writing each week? It depends whether it’s a writing week or not. If I’m on my fortnight hiatus, then it’s just blogging, which I aim to do every day, but of late, with the book tour, it has been a few times a week...

I am sitting in the offices of Penguin Canada, furiously answering bloggers questions, before shooting off to Dove Spa here in Toronto for a 4pm event...

One of my children, the youngest twin, has, we recently realised, fallen prey to the dreaded family disease. I had hoped he would be free of it...

Dune Road out today, and another fun-packed day. Taking Eldest Daughter to buy glasses this morning, then off to twins scavenger hunt at beach...

I just finished the book and loved it- now I have to wait for your next one. So Sad- it is always a highlight for me to kick back and read one of your books- total book candy for me! Thank you!

Today woke up to news Mini-me was sick, and her father was dropping her home. Panic, as phones were off and I had been upstairs, and hadn’t heard anything. No sign of Mini-me, who had instead been dropped off at friends. Jumped in car, ran to friends, collected Mini-me...

You got it first! It's called Girl Friday in the UK and came out last week...

June rolls around, my busiest time of the year, with books coming out simultaneously in the US and the UK...

Hi..I understand. I see how difficult it is for moms who work outside the home to get into the classroom. It also depends on the teachers. Some definately prefer more control and less parental involvement. I like these teachers!...

Good luck with both books, I don't know how you manage to fit everything in.

Sometimes, when I’m in a Very Bad Mood, I rant for a bit on places I shouldn’t be ranting. Namely, ahem… my blog, facebook, and twitter. This is the downside of being technologically connected...

I haven’t discussed the animals for a while, so I thought I’d fill you in. Three weeks ago Barney, our big grey and white cat, went missing. Barney was three and a half years old, and the star of our family...

We too have a polydactyl cat. In fact, up until last year we had two. Both were strays that found our home a year apart from one another. Same color and everything. We figured they must be from the same family.
Love the picture of the dog!

What has this world come to...I once saw at a vet office were they offered teeth braces for dogs. :) I wonder what is next. Looking foward to the new book next week. In the proces of reading Straight Talking.

If you’re going to be in Massachusetts this Summer, come along and see us in West Dennis… Wine, Women and Words I love doing events on my own, but sometimes it’s enormous fun doing events with other authors, particularly when they’re funny...

One of my good friends came over the other day, and we went outside to sit in the sunshine with a glass of wine. ‘Tell me something,’ she said suddenly, leaning forward and looking at me intensely...

Those of you who are signed up for my mailing list will have received a sneak preview of Chapter One a few days ago, and now I am giving the rest of you a taster of my new hardback, Dune Road...

I just had to share my breakfast with you. Since the whole vegan adventure, I tend to start my day with a protein shake, but I was in the city all day yesterday and forgot to buy bananas, and protein shakes without the bananas just don’t cut it. So this morning I had to make do with what I had...

Sounds heavenly! Will definitely try it ---maybe on some crostini?
Jane Green at 3:36am June 16
yum!

This is always the most nerve-wracking time for a writer, right before a book comes out when the first reviews start trickling in, and you have absolutely no idea what they will be like. As the author, I have no creative judgment whatsoever...

Number one all photos by Tracy Ketcher The wondrous Tracy Ketcher - www.tracyketcher.com - arrived this morning with a ton of camera equipment, lights, and Horsey Girl as her assistant, and we proceeded to have the most fun and relaxed photoshoot I have ever had...

The longer I do the vegan thing, the more I enjoy it. On Sunday night we threw an impromptu barbeque, and I present you with the menu...

Those of you who are avid readers of mine, will know all about the fictitious town of Highfield, Connecticut...

Earlier this week I went to my annual Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to support Bethel Recovery Center in Bridgeport. It is a cause that is close to my heart, a home run by Janice Kelly that offers a chance for women suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, to get back on their feet...

I am back from my blissful week in Antigua to launch a new book club initiative that I’m not allowed to talk about yet, but will fill you in shortly...

I have spent years expressing my love for people through food. It’s one of the reasons why I adore gathering people together in my home - that in cooking for them I am showing them just how much I love them. I can mark many of the turning points in my life, through food...

This arrived in my inbox yesterday. It’s very flattering. Hello My Dear one How are you and how is your work...

I haven’t blogged properly about my whole vegan adventure, but I will say it’s been almost two months since Beloved and I gave up meat, fish and dairy, and we feel pretty damn good. Also, my skin looks better than it has done in years, and I’ve definitely got more energy...

I walked into the chemo ward the other week to see my unwell friend, and couldn’t see her anywhere. Then, rounding a corner, I spotted this on the chair, and I knew I’d found her. Because only my friend would have a bag as great as this...

Photographs by Tracy Ketcher I have been thinking a lot recently, about love. Last week I found myself in the audience of a Rufus Wainwright concert at Yale, and I was struck, once again, at the overwhelming feeling of love in the room...

It’s a wonderful blog, and they’ve just included me in their Style File, which makes it even more wonderful (not that I’m biased or anything)… http://www.allthebestblog.com/2009/04/style-file-jane-green-warburg.html...

I am not a big hairdresser kind of person. I’m fantasticallydisloyal, and even more low-maintenance. I might go to a hairdresser once a year, but most of the time when my ends are looking a bit straggly, I pull the kitchen scissors out and whack off the ends...

I know we can’t possibly get another dog until we move to the new house, and particularly not the dog I have always wanted, which is a Scottish Deerhound. Sighthounds - greyhounds, wolfhounds, deerhounds, borzois, lurchers etc...

I am now completely obsessed with twitter - it’s like facebook only much easier, one you get the hang of it. The thing that makes me laugh though, is the question: ‘What are you doing now?’ It is hilarious how many people take that literally...

I opened the paper the other day to discover there is a pet psychic coming to town. Clearly, there is a need for pet psychics in this town, or why else would she be coming, but I am deeply curious as to what she could possibly tell me. I like to think my animals and I have a special bond...

On the back page of the latest Instyle magazine, is Eva Longoria Parker doing what looks like a regular questionnaire, where she dishes about her current obsessions. I have to share some of them with you...

We are just back from celebrating the Beautiful Guru’s birthday, at a wonderful dinner party at their house, and driving home through the country roads, Beloved and I mused about the lessons we can learn from friendship...

I picked this up at Perez. Couldn’t resist. While defending Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol’s pregnancy, Former Law & Order actress and avid Republican Angie Harmon said the following: “one of the greatest things about the Republican Party is the understanding...

Here are the current recommendations on my bedside reading list. I just finished The White Rose by Jean Hanff Korelitz, which is a clever and rather lovely re-telling of the German opera, Der Rosenkavalier...

Twin B, formerly known as The M****c, announced the other day he was desperate for a cowboy belt. And boots. And hat. The hat was pushing it, I thought. I bought a cowboy hat once, in Aspen. As case of ‘when in Rome…’ I also bought lots of general Western fantastic cowboy-style stuff...

In November I will be the Keynote Speaker at the La Jolla writer’s conference, and I’ve just been sent this video clip from KUSI-TV in San Diego. You have to watch to the end because it’s hilarious. The newsreader is v...
