On a separate issue, I would like to see the Governor stop any state funding to ACORN. I always felt they were corrupt and once in the mid 90's, when I had never heard of them, they protested my business. They went away after a few weeks but wanted a donation and for me to join which I did neither. Thanks

Texans again will have the opportunity to shop for clothing and other items without paying local and state sales taxes during the state's annual tax holiday on August 21, 22 and 23. However this will be the first time that school supplies also will be sales tax free...
