Anything that inspires you to make art helps, so if watching movies gives you creative ideas that seems OK to me.

Jason Oliva Late at night on Howard st. Sophie and I ran into Jeane-Claude and Christo. Sophie and I were conversing about how I believed there was nothing to do in life except take walks, suddenly there was JC and Christo walking toward us. I stopped in mid sentence and said "Hey Christo" he made a gesture acknowledging us and we all moved on. Thanks for all the gifts JC our thoughts are with you Christo.

Hey Jodi...So sad isnt it, I read Christo said all the projects will continue. Christo goes into Pearl paint on Canal on most Wednesdays to buy drawing supplies, at least he used to .

jason, your painting that says wtf happens when we die is beyond brilliant. because nobody know what happens after we die because everybody that does know what happens after you die is dead. that's why i think that you should never judge someone for being different then you, because after all your political, religious,... sexual, etc... opinions are just your soul translating the worlds reflection, and then reflecting it. you're a bad ass

peace

thanks jason... what's some of your inspiration? i find that the events in life that are small enough that they don't go on record can and in most cases are more meaningful then some election, or fashion show. one of my mottos is " he which is not he, will be when he is. those who are not, someday will be, for we are all born. be good to yourself and being good to others will follow"

I get inspiration from reading and everyday life, some paintings help me remember things I think are important and some could be pages out of an autobiography of sorts.

Nisha Philip I have a question....Do you think any art college can help you become an artist?

Hey Nisha, College no matter what you study is good for two things; learning to manage your time and learning how to work with other people. They are both necessities in life as an artist or otherwise. If you are talking about becoming more creative as a result of art college I cant speak to that because I attended a business school. I have no ... Read Morefirsthand knowledge about what the environment has to offer. ALthough I for one would dig a couple years of life drawing and not having to worry about work..ha ha. In the end make sure that whatever you decide it is your decision. There are no bad decisions just decisions. Hope this helps.
