Jeb Hensarling This holiday season, I would hope for the sake of the country that Congress and the President will realize that you cannot spend your way into more
jobs. You cannot borrow your way into more jobs. You cannot bailout your way
into more jobs. View my floor speech on jobs and the economy.

The President seems to think that he can heal the world's economy at the expense of the American taxpayers. His focus should be solely on the American economy. Economics is driven by entities at the bottom all the way through entities at the top. American money needs to stay in this country in order for America to heal. Stiff tax penalties shoud be... See More introduced to companies that farm work out to overseas organizations and the government needs to quit giving taxpayer money to other countries. There is nothing worse than getting raped in federal taxes just to watch billions of dollars flying out of our economy. There are plenty of non-profit organizations (not taxed) that have a dedicated strategy to heal the world.

Interesting speech on the auto bailout , BUT the Labor Agreements ARE crucial, British Leyland was Crippled & then BANKRUPTED when they were unable to emerge from catastrophic car strikes & labor disputes in the 1970's, and as for cars that get 40 miles per gallon, there is a WAITING LIST for the Toyota Prius, as people actually WANT those cars, and they are selling them as fast as they can be built. I would not touch the low mileage garbage like the Chevy Lumina, or the crap like the cavalier. There are IMPORTANT REASONS why govt has had to into this as the Management at the big 3 has been too stupid to compete with Germany & Japan. If this keeps up, they will Join British Leyland in the dusty pages of history & go bankrupt too, so we have to make sure that they produce something we want , instead of flush our money down the toilet producing the next Edsel, or carstrike......
And as for healthcare - Americans live SHORT lives due to the EXTREME crappiness of the healthcare systems, BELOW 35th in life expectancy & lifespan..

Thus doing nothing is NOT an option.....

If congress gets EVERYBODY covered, then Id say the job is complete, otherwise its just a step in the right direction, that needs to go EVEN FARTHER as soon as possible......

Article 31 of the Iraqi Constitution, drafted with the help of the Bush administration in 2005 and ratified by the Iraqi people, includes state-guaranteed (single payer) healthcare for life for every Iraqi citizen, care to be provided, of course, in the hospitals we built for them.

stop irresponsible spending we must have legally binding limits to
restore fiscal responsibility.Check out the op-ed I co-authored in the

As Americans watch their paychecks stagnate, their jobs disappear and their savings shrink, they also see Washington pursuing a relentless expansion of spending, deficits and debt - a pattern that must be reversed to head off a potential fiscal and economic crisis.

Stafford, you never have any good responses, to the posts I made , and do not seem to like it when people do not agree with your views, in a democracy we ALL have a voice. As Jeb is my rep, I feel it important that he know WHY he got my vote, and my points are FAR from Silly, Carol AGREES with me , things like that comment of yours which ... See MoreDISRESPECTED Seniors, and DISABLED VETS have NO PLACE in the Republican party.....
I was a campaign volunteer in Jebs first primary and Helped Elect Jeb, in many races (DID YOU???) I supported him because he was JEB, and his stance on issues at the time and NOT because of ANY other reason, AND its also an indicator, people with lots of free time (like me) will be out there Campaigning FOR the candidates of their choice, Ive been a campaign Volunteer for Jeb, AND also helped some Democrat and republican candidates for other offices as well, based on whether they had the right values, telling me to go support the Democrats, or his opponent when I am bored is NOT in Jebs best interests, or the party's Are you an ally of JEB or his ENEMY???? You certainly seem to hate it when his core supporters like me say he needs to be HIMSELF, the guy I helped elect, and NOT to emulate the guys who just lost ...
& telling Jebs core supporters he DOESNT need them or want to hear from them is NOT a good idea either. ...

Kevin Hunt-Yes, The article you mentioned has BAD & STUPID ideas, on causes & solutions! Americas OWN CIA.gov (US INTELIGENCE, not magazine stupidity) estimate of Americans whose life expectancy is at 50th place vs #3 for Japan, oddly, Puerto Rico is at 42 & "Socialist " Swedes are in the top 10 at # 10 in life expectancy.Sad when the US mainland... See More trails even the Puerto Rican Healthcare system.
These are PROVEN systems that WORK, & keep people alive LONGER, genetic superiority of Puerto Ricans is also NOT a factor as to why they live longer, just that the medical system on the US mainland is set up WAY STUPIDER, and Bush era LACK of solutions to fix this FAILED for 8 years, & Bill Clinton era for 8 years before that, we need change NOW, & it looks like its gonna be EITHER Obamacare, OR a PROVEN EFFECTIVE European/Japanese/Canadian healthcare copy as the BEST & FASTEST way to increase American's lifespans, NOT a DO NOTHING Gov, that lets Americans die early, daily.
