Sen Bingaman....Before you sign it READ IT! and through out all of the special interest crap. I heard yesterday that married people will be discreminstated against by being chared 4X the cost for healthcare than a man and a woman living together but not married (two single people living together). Come on. Please vote this thing down. Kill it and put the money back into Job creation in the private sector (not Public sector which increases our tax burden).

Jeff Bingaman The Senate is back in full swing, debating the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the major piece of health care reform legislation. I outline some of the basics in my weekly update.

Jeff Bingaman

Jeff Bingaman Majority Leader Harry Reid released The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act yesterday, which the full Senate will begin debate on soon. This legislation combines provisions contained within the health care reform bills drafted in the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and Senate Finance Commi...ttee earlier this year. The entire bill is available online:

Jeff Bingaman U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman details some stipulations of the unemployment benefits extension bill passed out of the Senate this week. The bill extends unemployment benefit coverage for 14 weeks, which will be a great help to the over 2,000 New Mexicans who are on track to exhaust their benefits by the end of this year.... The bill also extends the first-time homebuyer assistance program through April of 2010, eliminates the 36 month recapture requirement for military personnel serving overseas, and includes provisions for businesses.

The bill will now go to the House of Representatives for final passage, and then be sent to the president.

I just got your newsletter. :-) "Bingaman & Udall: New Mexico Awarded $1.25 Million "Green Jobs" Grant" You seem to be doing an awful job of creating jobs through legislation and incentives. I would have to agree with Mr. Luke. Maybe you should give that money back to the taxpayer, reduce the tax rates across the board, reduce the corporate tax rate, and stop pandering to special interests like "GREEN JOBS".

Jeff Bingaman Watch Senator Bingaman deliver his second floor speech in one week in support of extending unemployment benefits; here he also outlines four initiatives to help create jobs. Bingaman references Japan’s Lost Decade of weak economic growth and lackluster job creation as something the U.S. can learn from in this economic... recovery. The Senate is now debating a bill to extend unemployment benefits by up to 14 additional weeks for jobless workers in all states.

Hey maybe....just maybe...if congress concentrated on getting people back to work instead of on these ridiculous entitlement, more taxes and higher energy costs programs....then maybe...just maybe we could get some of these folks off of unemployment.

Jeff Bingaman Many New Mexicans are struggling in this difficult economy, and have felt the pain of job loss or reduced pay or hours. We are still trying to recover from one of the worst economic downturns in 50 years, but there are signs that our economy is beginning to turn around. I discuss this in my October e-newsletter.

Senator Bingaman you have done nothing that makes me believe that you have the sligthest clue about how to revive our economy or the sinking job situation
In fact you seem to be content just going along in lock step with your liberal colleagues in striking hammer blow after blow after blow onto the stake that is being driven through the heart of the US economy.
More taxes, more fees, more red tape, more entitlements, more government control are NOT the answer senator.

Mr Bingaman, maybe you should support a tax increase to pay for the war. That should help all of us trying to survive the economic collapse you and your democrat team have created over the last 3 years you have controlled the house and senate. Stop blaming Bush and stop spending money, lay off a few congressman and senators (prferably 60 senators) and allow the FREE market to take us back to where we need to be...

The healthcare bill will bankrupt this nation. Just vote no. The politicians can't even be honest about how much we really owe (undunded liabilities) on Social Security and Medicare. If you insist on voting yes then vote no on the opt out option for each state. We as a nation should either be all in or all out NO OPT OUT OPTION please! My vote would be all out.

Jeff Bingaman In his floor speech on unemployment extension, Senator Jeff Bingaman emphasizes that "unemployment is affecting everyone, regardless of political party or ideology." New Mexico's job market is dismal with little indication of improvement, and the situation is similar in other states across the country. Bingaman is in f...avor of extending unemployment benefits given the current economic circumstances the nation is facing.

In light of the fraud being exposed worldwide, please sponsor legislation to table Cap and Trade indefinitely! Global warming is a hoax! HR2454 is based on lies.....The US Senate should not be insulted by being obligated to vote on such shoddy legislation. Climategate should be investigated and the perpetrators of this crime should be exposed ... See Moreand charged as criminals. A congressional investigation should be started immediately! If the Congress has time to investigate steroid use in baseball and the fairness of the BCS for college football, they surely have time for an investigation of this matter of generational consequence!

The cap and trade bill and all the bunk about greenhouse gases is based on false science. Excess Co2 causes cooling in the atmosphere, not warming. The earths normal heating and cooling cycles cause slight changes in the earths temp, not us. Vote for this bill and you lose my vote and everyone I can influence to vote you out of office. This is nothing more than a power grab and a huge tax on the country which we can't afford.

Jeff Bingaman I joined 13 of my colleagues yesterday in voting to approve the Senate Finance Committee's health insurance reform bill. I believe this bill is a very good start, but we've got more work to do. I will continue working to make this the strongest bill possible, including fighting for a public option and ensuring that the final legislation is affordable.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman today voted to approve legislation he helped write to better protect New Mexicans who have health insurance, contain increasing health care costs and extend health care coverage to those who are currently uninsured.

Forget POSTING the bill. These fine statesmen and women aren't going to be able to READ the bill!
When it gets to that point, the bill that will get voted on will not have even been completely written yet.
So read it? Post it?
Neither of those things are going to even happen prior to the votes.
This bill is certainly not about providing healthcare for those that can't get it. ... See More
It is about power, control, unions and and big business.
Who is writing this bill Senator?
This never-ending mess of a program is just wrong Senator and it is dangerous and YOU KNOW IT.
Do you know Senator that Congress's approvoal rating is currently at 21%?

We asked you to FIGHT for a Public Option. I think you owe an explanation, Senator why there is none in the Senate Finance Committee bill that passed today. Your vote on this bill doesnt even matter at this point. Because a vote for a bill with no Public Option is a vote for big business and slap in the face to the American People. People are tired... See More of their interests being shoved aside in favor of monied interests. I'm looking forward to the next elections. The public is restless. Can you hear us? I hope this page is more than a a gimicky publicity thing. I hope you are really listening...
