Currently, Jeff is a part owner of a small public relations firm based in Ventura County, and an employer. He serves on the board of directors for the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce.

From 1996-1999, Jeff served in Sacramento as an advocate for statewide business owners with the staff of the California Manufacturers and Technology Association.

Attorney at Law:

Jeff is an accomplished attorney who studied law under U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. He has practiced business, criminal, election, and land use law.

University Professor:

Currently, Jeff is an adjunct professor of public policy at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks and teaches graduate and undergraduate level policy and politics.

Former Deputy District Attorney:

From 1999-2006, Jeff served our community as a criminal trial prosecutor in the major narcotics and violent felony units of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office. He also drafted and advocated for legislation on behalf of prosecutors statewide to improve the California Penal Code.

War Veteran / Navy Intel Officer:

Jeff Gorell, a third generation naval officer, is a veteran of the War in Afghanistan, having been recalled to active duty after 9/11. In 2009, Jeff was promoted to Lt. Commander in the Navy Reserve where he continues to serve today as a naval intelligence officer.

Former Aide to Governor Pete Wilson:

From 1992-1996, Jeff Gorell served as a personal writer and deputy press secretary to Governor Pete Wilson in the CA State Capitol.
