Last weekend I attended Art Basel Miami Beach and it was incredible. More than I even imagined!
If you're not familiar with the event it's the US's premier International Art Fair. Sister show to Art Basel Switzerland. Similar to a Biennale like Venice, for example.
Galleries from around the world bring their best and b...rightest emerging and established art stars and offer their latest work to collectors. Last week the NY Times called it 'Costco for Billionaires'. :)
Even if you're not in the market for a million dollar painting at the moment it's still just the best opportunity in the US to see the hottest artists working today and what they're working on right now.

Phillip Lee Corbett I never heard of you until I saw one of your paintings at a frame shop on Ft Benning. Being an artist myself(not famous...yet, lol), I walked by this store and saw something and kept walking. Then I said hold up a minute and I actually starting walking backwards to see what was so catching. I think I harrassed the owne...r for like 20 minutes begging her to tell me who the artist was. She asked why I liked this painting. I told her it has all the right elements. Your email address was on the back and I went to your website and then I was disappointed because I honestly thought you were a local artist who I had to meet immediately.This owner just stretched your canvas over a frame so I was sure I would meet you because I left my info with the owner. hahaha. Ok didn't want to write this much but whatever you are doing, Don't change it! And yes I do graffitti and I oil paint. Holla back! =)
