1 fool and a dolphin !
Couldn't believe my ears this morning. An aquaintence and his m8 fished at La Moye over this mornings incoming tide. They saw a large 25ft + basking shark whilst livelining mackerel for Bass.
then...
horror of all horrors...
A young dolphin took a livebait and spooled him !
a 50lb trace and large pla...stic dog ball are now attached to this fine creature.
I'm totally pissed at the bloke as he reckons they saw it before. irresponsible in my view and i'm a very keen angler so it takes alot to get my goat.
And spearfishermen get hard knocks ?
Go figure.
Keith White How about arranging a social dive out of st ouens so those of us who don't know the area for spearfishing can get in pre 'the comp in september'. I'd like to have a crack at that.

Did some freedive training at Bouley last night. 3 of us in upto just under 11 Meters of water managed numerous dives and buddy dives at those depths after warming up in shallower 5-7 meters of water.
We are out there again tonight as Simon is training in preperation for his AIDA ** and we ourselves are out to maintain ...safety procedure and get real comfortable at these depths and deeper.

We'll be at Bouley around 6:40 give or take 10 minutes and then out into the boat bouys so if you miss the start, swim out to us.
Club Apnea Another opportunity to fish this popular venue - divers can hunt the various gutters on the incoming tide which at this time of year is alive with silver fish.

Both me and Kev got AIDA **
did a 17.8 meter dive. Dark and getting cold and a very lonely place.
Dived the plane wreck and other great stuff. All in all, brilliant, but challenging.
Go do it or come with us over here.
