A school worth two hundred thousand dollars burns to ground, killing a janitor in the process. The trouble is … the janitor had previously called the insurance company complaining of the shoddy construction. Accident or Murder? Better give Johnny Dollar a call.

Space Patrol fans rejoice. Well, sort of. I’ve uploaded my monstrous collection of nine episodes to the server. Reading the Wikipedia page, it looks like there are at least a hundred other episodes available, but still, it’s a start. ...

There’s a nice little reminiscing article over at wickedlocal.com. In it, the author looks back to the glory days of old time radio, reflecting on the stars and the music of the time. There’s ...

Good article. Yeah, "we" have collectively lost our innocence, so a lot of those programs would not have the same impact they had back then. It's really a shame.

That's a pretty banal article. It's like they read a bunch of other OTR articles and just regurgitated. For instance, a better case can be made for "Fibber" failing on television because the Jordan's didn't want to make the move, the writing was subpar and the staging was wooden. If the GI Bill killed radio, it was a slow, lingering death. Didn't ... See MoreCBS stop broadcasting in the 60s? And haven't shows like "The Shadow" been in almost constant syndication? I know that's how I really discovered OTR in the late 1970s.

Jude Cormier listened to an interesting mix today--an episode of "The Whistler" (thumbs up), "Lum and Abner" (i have no idea what to make of it) and starting "My Friend Irma" (already liking what I hear so far).

I don’t know whether I like this episode, or I hate this episode, but one thing is for certain; it kind of disturbs me. It’s not that the episode is outright scary. Actually, quite the contrary, it has a high cheese content. ...

Since you're also a sitcom fan, I'd suggest "Back Seat Driver" if you haven't already heard that one. It stars Jim and Marian Jordan in rare serious roles.

Jude Cormier Been listening to episodes of "Escape"...so far, this series has not won me over. Maybe I am too used to the lighter sitcom format. I am willing to give new things (to me) a try.

Thanks Steve! Glad you stop by and thanks for visiting the site through the years. There's a good chance I'll be going to the OTR convention pending on spousal paperwork (being processed) and our finances at the time (looking good)

Jude Cormier An interesting thing I'm listening to are Ozzie & Harriet's radio shows that were aired concurrently with the TV version, but the shows themselves were not duplicates of what was aired on TV.

I find it kind of funny when going back through my Hall of Creep archive that most of the shows have been produced by Suspense. I promise that the next update will be of a different show. For the time being, here’s a show that really creeped me out back in the day. ...
