The Sony re-issue includes the second session made by this band, which I didn't even know existed until I read about it this year. If you love Kind of Blue, you must listen to disk 2 on the Sony 50th anniversary reissue. It includes standatds like Green Dolphin Street, Love for Sale, and Stella by Starlight,. But the revelation on the ... See Moresession is Coltrane's solo on the 17 minute version of So What. It is absolute brilliance, and very much an indication of where Trane was headed in the next few years. Bill Evans work on Green Dolphin Street and Stella by Starlight is awesome. It is a pity that Kind of Blue was the last time that Miles and Bill Evans recorded together.
