Sorry everyone but I have been trying to confirm this gig with the promoter for about 4 or 5 weeks now. messages, calls, txt, facebook, myspace...EVERYTHING! and i have had no reply. I have also been trying to get hold of the venue but it is a discontinued number hmmmmmmm.
i ...needed to confirm everything as I have started to use click tracks in the set and I needed to confirm the technical details with the promoter and sound guy. I dont feel confident now that i can rehearse the right things and then tur up and not be able to do half my set!.
Also Charlie was planing on a birthday doo there and its a long way to go if there is no venue or event on so we will be out in sheffield instead i think..
Anyway. I have some new songs. 4 of which are recorded. i intend to concentrate now on getting the other ones down and a cd ready. then a gig in the new year. Aplogoes for any onconvenience caused.

I wrote this song back in Jan this year and only finished recording it a few weeks ago (I am rubbish at recording) I decided it would be stupid not to do something to go with it so las...t Friday 24th I recorded a short video (on my phone) in the hope of editing this and getting it on here.
The last shot is of the Tinsley coolling towers in sheffield behind me... (There are reasons for the towers featuring in the song and video - see discussions)...

The tinsley Cooling towers were demolished.
Blown up by the company that owned then as they no longer served a purpose for them.
I had no idea this was going to happen.. I think I must have some of the last footage of these amazing structures that have inspired so many people.
It was a sad day especially as I had no idea this was going to happen (I would have gone down) Anyway.
End of an era...enjoy the film. I know its cheesy but.. hey...whatever Its worth it to keep these twin sisters alive forever.
