Jonno & The Zilberfish Little Big-Band

The Jonno & The Zilberfish Little Big Band is an eight-piece Swing and Jump Blues band hailing from Canberra, Australia's home of public servants, fireworks dealers and a few Jazz musicians. This band represents all of the above.

Lead singer, Jonno Zilber is a Blues singer/guitarist who has been performing Blues music since he was 12 years old. For his 18th birthday he decided he would round up some of his favourite musicians from the local Blues scene and his old high school (including the music teacher, of course) to put together a big, swingin' band. Their debut night was a great success and Jonno and his Zilberfish left the crowd at The National Press Club of Australia screaming for more.

The band features Jonno Zilber on vocals and guitar, two of his incredibly talented high school friends Dave Hughes and Max Williams on Alto and Tenor Saxophones, as well as their high school music teacher Rod Harding, the Zilberfish's ever-vigilant band leader and Trombonist. Not to mention Cameron Smith, the man of many bands on the Trumpet. The rhythm section features the diabolical Canberran Drum and Upright Bass duo of Mitch Preston and Brian (Dr. Brain) Taylor of Groove Kings fame, and last but certainly not least, Leo Joseph, the prince of keys on Piano and Hammond.
