Josh Robert Thompson is a comedian, voice and television actor known for his uncanny celebrity impressions and outrageous original characters.
He is perhaps best recognized as the voice of Craig Ferguson's robot skeleton sidekick, Geoff Petersen, on CBS-TV's "The Late Late Show." A mainstay on Ferguson's talk show for nearly four seasons, Thompson has appeared on camera as Gov. Schwarzenegger, Robert De Niro and, more recently, as the voice of Morgan Freeman.
At a very early age, Thompson taught himself how to mimic other people's voices. As a voice actor, his incredible range of characters and impressions have been featured on Disney's "The Emperor's New School," Nickelodeon's "Glenn Martin, DDS," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," "The Tonight Show," and a number of popular video games that include "Final Fantasy XIII" and "James Cameron's Avatar." Josh is also the voice of 'Ahnuld' on Austrian Death Machine's hugely popular second album, "Double Brutal."
A character comic in the vein of Andy Kaufman and Phil Hartman, Thompson's on-stage personas--like crooked televangelist, The Apostle BG, Darnell the Janitor and TV-pitchman-turned-cabaret singer, Robin Sooper--are soon to be the subject of a forthcoming comedy album voiced entirely by Josh himself.
