It will showcase special and one of a kind pieces which, to date, have only been viewable in our shop. Judie Gumm Designs A HUGE Thanks to all who attended our open house this weekend. Hope you have a lovely Sunday doing something outdoors and enjoying our wonderful warm temps. I'm thinking of going on a hike to Angel Rocks, something we wouldn't have been able to do this time last year.

Judie Gumm Designs The birthstone for October is another one of my favorites, the Opal. It is unequaled in the broad range of colors often visible in the same stone...blue, green, red, aqua, orange.... all flash and dance in the depths as well on the surface. Most opal is found in Australia and Mexico. It is a soft stone so care should be taken when it is worn.

Judie Gumm Designs Hi Everyone... Rich and I will be at the Make It Alaskan Show this weekend at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. The show is Fri, Sat and Sun. (Oct 2, 3 & 4) Always a lot of great crafts and you can be sure they are made in AK. Hours are 12 - 8; 10 - 7; 11 - 6 respectively. Hope to see you there!
Judie Gumm Designs The birthstone for September is the Sapphire. It is second only to the Diamond in hardness, making it a durable gemstone for setting into jewelry. A gift of Sapphire represents sincerity and faithfulness. The range of colors from a pale blue to a deep cornflower hue and even yellow is truly amazing. I always try to pick a medium color as it shows up best in the setting.
