New start, new city, new name, new EP, yay. Fabrin is the solo project of Julia Fabrin Jakobsen (Jules & The Fools, Hunter, JacSharp). It feels weird writing about myself in third person so I am just going to write like a normal person instead! I love singing, I love writing songs. I'm Danish, but I kind of grew up ...everywhere. When I was 15 I moved to Cape Town, where my music teacher encouraged my singing and made me sing in assembly at school, then I started singing harmony vocals for various Cape Town bands, then I started singing my own songs at gigs, then I gigged the hell out of every venue in town, then I wanted to be in a rock band, then I started a rock band, then I played some festivals and recorded some stuff, then I turned 22, then I fell in love with folk music all over again, then I started doing lots of solo gigs again, then I recorded a new EP, then I moved to Copenhagen. And from here on out, I'm not really sure what's going to happen. But I still love singing, and I still love writing songs :)

Andy Lund and the Mission Men play music that rocks with authenticity. Andy has a knack of writing beautiful songs, his band are super killer and in between songs, Andy is also really funny. It's not hard to see why he has so much respect and support from the lo...cal music scene.
Andy has also been so kind as to invite Julia Jakobsen to perform on this most auspicious of fridays - hurrah!
Julia plays pop/folk/indie/stuff and loves doing what she does. She is leaving Cape Town for the cold, cold country of Denmark in a month, so come watch her before she flits away!!

I'm not going to paste our biographies. They don't really matter. What matters is this:
When you watch Joshua Grierson play, you can't take your eyes off him. His songs creep into your heart and stay there long after they are finished. His energy is infectious and his voice conveys emotion - when Josh plays, you remembe...r what real music is about, storytelling.
Julia Jakobsen is also playing and this might just be her last gig at Zula Bar, a venue she has played at many, many times, since she was a teenager. She is leaving for Denmark in a month, so catch her before it's too late!
