Julie Fowlis Hallo everyone - if you have five minutes, take a look at the first link about the propsed St Kilda Centre - http://www.stkilda.eu/st-k-centre
which tells you a little about this proposed project. This is a very
important and valuable development for the community that is chosen.
Three areas in the Hebrides have been sing...led
out, with a recommendation that it be built in Lewis. I, personally, am
supporting the case for establishing the centre in North Uist - if
anyone would like to make their thoughts known (for whichever location)
you can vote online TODAY on the Stornoway Gazette Newspaper at the
second link - about halfway down 'today's vote'. http://www.stornowaygazette.co.uk/news/National-Trust-threaten-legal-action.5781572.jp

Proposals for a St Kilda Centre, which will aim to capture and celebrate the ‘spirit of place’ of the UK’s only mixed UNESCO World Heritage Site, are to be explored with communities in the Outer Hebrides over the summer.

All of the work done by Dochas and yourself is always so musically superb, I can see most any of them winning some kind of award or recognition for excellence in musical performance. As for the two Celtic peoples, we know well that musically and in many other ways, both are as one. I come from two musical families: one from County Down in Northern Ireland, the other from County Midlothan, Scotland. Best wishes, always. Robert.
