Very nice review of Junior Skeptic from recent issue of Secular Homeschooling Magazine. "Each JS is a themed piece — a thoughtful, informative, and deeply entertaining essay, broken up into bite-sized pieces for ease of reading but still a cohesive whole. The writing is age-appropriate without ever slipping into condes...cension. The authors assume, rightly, that simple and direct language is the best way to communicate with readers of any age."Read More

I had no idea there was a Secular Homeschooling Magazine. My kids go to virtual school at home through Connections Academy and most people assume it's because we have religious reasons.

In 1933, movie audiences shrieked at the spectacle of giant monsters in the blockbuster King Kong. Within months, sea serpent cryptid "Cadborosaurus" was born — as was the Loch Ness Monster. Daniel Loxton argues that Hollywood inspired these enduring modern monster myths.
