Justin Bond
As described in THE NEW YORKER!!!
“JUSTIN BOND’S CHRISTMAS SPELLS”
Having put aside the wig that helped transform him into the decrepit lounge singer Kiki, of Kiki and Herb, Bond soldiers on as a performance artist of the highest calibre. In “Christmas Spells,” he’s Huckleberry Finn—a Huckleberry Finn who works in a New... Orleans whorehouse as one Sassy Sarah. The Christmas festivities at the brothel occasion original songs and dances in the English panto tradition, filtered through Bond’s punk-drag sensibilities. (Abrons Arts Center, 466 Grand St. 212-352-3101. Dec. 9-12 at 8.)
This year it's Christmas in the Brothel with Justin Bond and The Pixie Harlots as they return to the Abrons Arts Center in "Christmas Spells" -a Trans-Voodoo Extravaganza.
Adapted from a short story entitled "Dixie Belle" by playwright, author and gender theorist Kate Bornstein, Christmas Spells is a Holiday show in the English "Panto" tradition but with a twist of Americana. Justin will be playing the beloved Mark Twain character, Huckleberry Finn, who is now working in a New Orleans whore house as Sassy Sarah, aka "Miss Sarah Grangerford, of the Jackson, Mississippi Grangerfords, honey". It's Christmas Eve 1865 and Miss Sarah and the Ladies of Miss Violette's Parlour of Elysion Delights are throwing a Christmas Eve Hullaballoo in the Frenchy Quarter. After all the party quests have been sloshed, sluiced and sated, Sarah sits down to write write a letter to her old friend Tom Sawyer and boy does she have some surprises in store for him!
Kick off your Holiday season with this glittering tale of The Further Adventures of Huckleberry Finn -consisting of original songs, Christmas ditties, dances and more. Sets and costumes by Machine Dazzle (The Lily's Revenge), lighting by Ben Kato, adapted from a story written by Kate Bornstein and directed by Justin Bond.

Justin Bond That perfume that made me smell like I fingered myself seems to gain appeal as the night goes on.

Gerard Koskovich My perfume recommendation: Belle Haleine Eau de Voilette. A highly conceptual scent that's beyond the ethereal.

Justin Bond Tried on Eau d'Hermes today. I like it but decided it makes me smell like I've been fingering myself. Cute, but too revealing for comfort!

Carol Yates can't believe those little minxes in brixton broke into my car and stole Pantychrist and your EP... I don't know whether to be bereft or enjoy sharing you!!!x

Justin Bond Check out my girlfriend Veda's new cd Stars Edge on itunes it's a short cut to happiness!

Justin Bond The Left Coast Nose blogged about how I might smell. So flattered... I'm off to Hermes this afternoon! "Eauhttp://www.leftcoastnose.com/

What would Justin Bond wear? I very much hoping s/he was wearing Hermès “Eau d’Hermès” for this photo shoot. Justin Bond: gender radical, chanteuse, shape-shifter, prophet.
