Amy Goodman, author of the newly-released collection of essays "Breaking the Sound Barrier," is the host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, a nationa...l, daily, independent news program airing on over 700 radio and television stations around the world. Goodman's investigative reporting has won many of the industry's top honors, including the George Polk Award and the Robert F. Kennedy prize for International Reporting.
