I think its very honorable that you are using the petition process to get on the ballot rather than just writing a check. You have my support, im gonna get at least 10 petitions or more done for ya soon.

So, you can’t try to seek alternatives to lawsuits if you’ve actually done something to implement alternatives to lawsuits. Brilliant! The trial lawyers must be very happy today!"

It sure makes me wonder what else is hidden in the 1900 pages of lawyer-speak?

Other relevant thoughts (some of which you may have already seen from me):

1) What part of the Constitution gives the federal government the power to force people to buy health insurance (or anything else)? This is a slippery slope, just as bad as setting up health care as a human right (AKA forcing someone to provide health care for another person). If the federal government can force us to buy health insurance, what else can they force us to buy? Treasury bonds? Health club membership? A flag?

If you are going to bring car insurance up as an example, it is the states that require that (10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.) Most states do require liability insurance, but some don't. Many states allow you to post a cash bond instead. If you don't operate a vehicle on public roads, you don't need insurance. You don't have to buy comprehensive insurance to protect yourself (unless your lender requires it to protect their own interests).

If this bill becomes law, it seems certain that lawsuits will immediately follow.

2) If there is going to be so much cost savings from this, then why is it going to cost over a trillion dollars for the first decade?

None of this is change I can believe in.
